Dulcich has recorded five catches on 12 targets for 28 yards this season. If this marks the end of his time with the Broncos, he will have finished with 41 receptions for 464 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both touchdowns were scored in his rookie season (2022), after being selected by the Broncos in the third round of the draft.
Dulcich has struggled with injuries over the past two seasons, limiting him to just 16 of a possible 71 games in his three-year career. However, the decision to release him may not have been solely due to his lack of production. According to Mike Klis of 9News, the move could also be influenced by the upcoming returns of wide receiver Josh Reynolds and outside linebacker Drew Sanders from injury. Klis reported that Sanders’ activation deadline is Wednesday, while Reynolds’ deadline is the following Wednesday.
Reynolds has been sidelined since Week 5, initially due to a finger injury and then while recovering from a gunshot wound sustained in October outside a Denver nightclub. Sanders, meanwhile, has missed the season so far as he recovers from a torn Achilles sustained in the spring.
