Pittsburgh Steelers Lose Two Players to Severe Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out defensive tackle Montravius Adams and cornerback Cory Trice Jr. for their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Both players are currently in the 21-day window to return from injury, but they won’t be available this week.

Trice, who has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury, was activated from injured reserve three weeks ago. He has until Thursday to be activated, or else he will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Adams, recovering from a torn meniscus, had been hopeful to return this week but will need at least one more week to recover. In his absence, Dean Lowry will serve as the Steelers’ backup nose tackle.

Additionally, linebacker Alex Highsmith is listed as doubtful as he continues to recover from a severe low ankle sprain. It appears he will miss another week, having already been out for the past two games.
