New York Knicks forward Mikal Bridges wrapped up a challenging road trip with one of his toughest outings of the season. In Friday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets, Bridges managed just eight points, shooting 3-for-10 from the field and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc.
His struggles extended to the defensive end, as he posted a team-worst -14 in plus/minus, despite the Knicks securing a narrow victory. He was benched late in the game in favor of Miles McBride, raising concerns given the significant draft capital New York invested to acquire him this summer.

Following the game, Bridges addressed his recent slump and expressed determination to improve:
“I’ve got to play better. I’ve been inconsistent,” Bridges told reporters via the New York Post’s Stefan Bondy. “Some games I’ve played well, others I haven’t. I just need to find my rhythm within the team. It’s early, not even 20 games in, and I’m still figuring things out.”
