The No. 1 Oregon Ducks continue to improve. On track to secure one of the top recruiting classes for 2025, Oregon’s 2026 class just added a major defensive commitment.
Four-star defensive lineman Bott Mulitalo chose to commit to head coach Dan Lanning, defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, and the Ducks, surpassing offers from schools like the Tennessee Volunteers, USC Trojans, and Washington Huskies.
Mulitalo is ranked as the No. 2 defensive lineman in the nation for the 2026 class and the No. 2 recruit from Utah for that year. Nationally, he is ranked as the No. 40 overall athlete by 247Sports.
At 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds, Mulitalo is an imposing figure, especially as a high school junior. His 77-inch wingspan is remarkable for a young defensive lineman, and he has the agility to be an effective pass rusher at the college level. Experts predict he could weigh between 290 to 300 pounds by the time he joins Oregon’s roster.
Given his size, Mulitalo is expected to play as an interior lineman in college. He has been a starter at Lone Peak High School since his freshman year and is set to be a four-year starter unless hindered by injury or other setbacks.
The Ducks are eager to watch Mulitalo’s development both on the field and physically over the next year and a half, as Coach Lanning and his staff prepare for another exciting wave of recruits to join the program.
