After months of rumors and speculation dating back to mid-2022, the Denver Broncos finally traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns during the 2024 offseason. In return, the Broncos received a pair of Day 3 draft picks—a 5th and 6th-rounder—which they used to move up and select wide receiver Troy Franklin in the 4th round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Jeudy recently returned to Denver when the Browns faced the Broncos on Monday Night Football, and he made quite the statement. He posted a career-high 235 receiving yards, a touchdown, and a two-point conversion on nine catches—the most receiving yards ever recorded by a player against their former team in NFL history.
Although the Broncos won the game, improving to 8-5 on the season, the past month has made one thing clear: Denver lost the Jerry Jeudy trade with Cleveland.
