After missing the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury, DeVonta Smith, also known as “Skinny Batman,” appears to be on the mend. The Alabama product returned to practice with the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday.
As first reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Smith was listed as a full participant in practice, suggesting he is expected to play in Week 14 when the Eagles face the 3-9 Carolina Panthers at home.
Although Smith has played in only nine games this season, he’s been productive for the Eagles, who don’t throw often. As Philadelphia’s WR2, Smith has averaged 57.3 yards per game, with 516 yards and four touchdowns. While reaching 1,000 yards for the third consecutive season may be challenging after missing three games, the remaining schedule includes some weaker defenses, so it’s still possible.
