Seahawks Running Back ruled out vs. Packers
After the Seattle Seahawks ruled out Kenneth Walker III, there’s an update on his status for next Sunday. Despite a rough week of practice, Walker experienced no setbacks and is expected to return for the Seahawks’ game against the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 15, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Kenneth Walker III has been dealing with ankle and calf injuries, raising concerns among fans. However, the Seahawks are optimistic, allowing him to rest this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals in preparation for next week’s key Sunday Night Football game.
“RB Kenneth Walker III, ruled out Saturday due to ankle and calf injuries, did not suffer a setback and has a chance to return next Sunday vs. the Packers,” Adam Schefter shared on X (formerly Twitter).
As the Seahawks prepare to face the Cardinals, they will be without Kenneth Walker, who missed Thursday and Friday’s practices, confirming he won’t play. Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald had been uncertain about Walker’s status throughout the week.
“I wish I could tell you, I just don’t know right now,” Macdonald said when asked about Walker. “We’ll discuss our plans and decide if we need to make any moves, or if we’ll wait until Sunday’s game.”
After the Seahawks’ win over the Jets, Kenneth Walker appeared injury-free, handling his usual workload with 16 carries for 49 yards and two catches for no gain. However, head coach Mike Macdonald noted that injuries can “pop up later,” which was the case for the 24-year-old, according to ESPN.
“To my knowledge, he got out of the game fine,” Macdonald said. “Some of these things pop up later and can get a bit funky, but as far as I know, he wasn’t limited as the game went on.”
