OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) – The Baltimore Ravens have activated nose tackle Michael Pierce to the 53-man roster ahead of their road game against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Pierce, who suffered a calf injury during a game at Cleveland in late October, had been placed on injured reserve. The upcoming game will mark his return to action after missing several weeks.
Pierce, now in his ninth NFL season and seventh with the Ravens, made his first start of the season against the Browns before his injury. In addition to Pierce’s activation, the Ravens have also elevated cornerback Desmond King and linebacker William Kwenkeu for the game against the Giants.
This move adds depth to Baltimore’s roster as they look to continue their playoff push. The team is hoping Pierce’s return will bolster their defensive line for the remainder of the season.
