Fourth Suspect in Shooting of Former Broncos Player Arrested

DENVER – A fourth individual has been arrested in connection with a shooting in October that injured former Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds, according to the Denver Police Department.

Daniel Olivarez, 30, faces multiple charges, including six counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault, two counts of attempted assault, and two counts of illegal firearm use, as per court records. Olivarez’s arrest was announced on Friday, though police did not specify his exact involvement in the shooting, which prosecutors have described as a “coordinated, organized” attack.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to police reports, Reynolds and two others were pursued and shot at after leaving Shotgun Willies, a strip club in Glendale, around 3 a.m. on October 18. Reynolds was struck in the left arm and the back of the head, while another man was shot in the back, and a third victim was injured by shattered glass.

Burr Charlesworth, 42, and Luis Mendoza, 35, also face charges of attempted murder and assault in the incident. Dirk Lisica-Lange, 31, was arrested in November on suspicion of attempting to influence a public servant regarding the case. Olivarez is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
