Defensive back, a transfer from Idaho, has committed to Nebraska.
Andrew Marshall, the standout cornerback from Idaho, has officially committed to the Cornhuskers this Christmas morning. The dynamic player, who has two years of eligibility remaining, spent the past two seasons at Idaho, making a major impact with 72 tackles, eight pass breakups, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery over 26 games.
Marshall’s addition brings Nebraska’s transfer haul to 11, joining a growing defensive line that features players like Williams Nwaneri (Missouri), Jaylen George (East Tennessee State), and Gabe Moore (Mississippi State), along with defensive back Justyn Rhett (Georgia), hybrid linebacker Dasan McCullough (Oklahoma), and more.
In 2024, Marshall earned first-team All-Big Sky honors after a standout season, posting 50 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and a pair of turnovers. At 6 feet, 186 pounds, Marshall also showcased his skills as one of the FCS’s top return specialists, returning a punt and kickoff for touchdowns (47 and 100 yards, respectively).
A two-star recruit out of Eastvale, California, Marshall also made an impact as a true freshman in 2023 with 22 tackles and five pass breakups.
Now, Marshall joins Nebraska’s revamped defensive backfield under new coach Addison Williams, bringing depth and experience to a cornerback room that will also benefit from the return of several key players for 2025, including Ceyair Wright, Malcolm Hartzog Jr., and Marques Buford Jr.
