Nebraska football has secured another commitment from the transfer portal, this time from Kentucky.
Freshman wide receiver Hardley Gilmore IV has decided to join the Cornhuskers and has three years of eligibility left.
Gilmore is following his teammate, Dane Key, as well as his former position coach at Kentucky, Daikiel Shorts Jr., to Lincoln. This move comes after Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule hired Shorts to replace Garret McGuire, at the suggestion of offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen.
In his only season at Lexington, Gilmore played in the final seven games after missing the first five due to injury. During that time, he recorded six receptions for 153 yards and one touchdown.
Gilmore, a consensus four-star recruit from Pahokee High School in Florida, chose Kentucky over offers from Penn State and Central Florida.
