Browns Shake Up Roster with Bold Moves!
The Cleveland Browns head into Week 18 with a top-three draft pick but face significant hurdles in their season finale against the Baltimore Ravens. Injuries and recent roster moves have made an upset victory over Baltimore increasingly unlikely. Although out of playoff contention, the Browns still have the chance to impact the AFC North race. If they defeat the Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh would clinch the division.
However, the Browns’ roster is heavily depleted, with key players like running back Jerome Ford (ankle), tight end David Njoku (knee), and running back Pierre Strong Jr. (concussion) placed on injured reserve. Ford, who leads the team with 565 rushing yards and three touchdowns, and Njoku, who has 64 receptions for 505 yards and five touchdowns, will be sorely missed. Strong, with 108 rushing yards and 104 receiving yards before his injury, also added valuable depth.
In addition, receiver Cedric Tillman and defensive tackle Shelby Harris were placed on injured reserve just before the New Year’s, leaving Cleveland with limited options across the board.
The Browns and Ravens start Saturday’s AFC North matchups, with the Steelers and Bengals following. For Cleveland, the goal is to finish the season strong, with a full-team effort. Myles Garrett will spearhead the defense in what could be a pivotal moment for the Browns’ momentum heading into the offseason.
