The Ravens’ running game is fully intact, with tight end Charlie Kolar returning to the 53-man roster after being activated from injured reserve.
Kolar had been sidelined for the past four games due to a broken forearm, but he is expected to play in Saturday’s regular-season finale against the Cleveland Browns.
To make room for Kolar, the Ravens placed cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (hamstring) on injured reserve. This marks the second time this season Armour-Davis has been placed on IR because of a hamstring issue.
He aggravated the injury during pregame warmups before the Ravens’ matchup with the New York Giants on Dec. 15. Injuries have plagued the third-year corner, who has appeared in 19 career games, including seven this season.
Additionally, the Ravens elevated defensive end Chris Wormley and wide receiver Anthony Miller from the practice squad for Saturday’s game.
Tight end Mark Andrews shared on “The Pat McAfee Show” that Kolar’s injury occurred during the win over the Los Angeles Chargers when Derrick Henry collided with him. Despite the injury, Kolar finished the game.
Kolar has been an essential blocker this season, contributing to Derrick Henry’s impressive 1,783 rushing yards, which rank second in the league. Kolar has also been a reliable receiver, catching nine passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.
Kolar’s return will be crucial for the Ravens’ ground game, especially with the cold temperatures expected at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday and in the playoffs as Baltimore aims for a strong finish.
