Kansas State Wildcats Snag Top Football Transfers from Nebraska!
Coach Chris Klieman has made big moves in the transfer portal, adding two key players to the Kansas State football roster. Over the weekend, the Wildcats secured incoming transfers from Nebraska and South Alabama.
First up is running back Gabe Ervin, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound power runner who previously played for Nebraska. Ervin, who enters the portal as a graduate transfer, will bring his 455 rushing yards and five touchdowns to K-State. The Wildcats are hoping Ervin will help fill the shoes of DJ Giddens, as they turn to Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson next season.
On the defensive side, K-State bolstered its secondary by adding defensive back Amarion Fortenberry from South Alabama. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback had an impressive freshman year with the Jaguars, recording 45 tackles and two interceptions. Fortenberry is expected to help replace the departures of Keenan Garber and Jacob Parrish.
With these additions, K-State now boasts nine incoming transfers, including Jerand Bradley (Boston College), Gunner Maldonado (Arizona), Mar’Quavious Moss (West Georgia), Gabe Powers (Ohio State), Jayden Rowe (Oklahoma), Amos Talalele (USC), and Jaron Tibbs (Purdue).
The Wildcats are certainly making a statement in the transfer market!
