4-Star Defenseman Commits to ECU

Parker Jenkins, a running back who transferred from Houston, has officially committed to East Carolina after visiting the campus. Jenkins spent two years with the Cougars, making a notable impact as a true freshman in 2023. During his first season, he carried the ball 98 times for 463 yards, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.

His performance earned him a solid 69.5 run grade from Pro Football Focus (PFF). Additionally, he forced 27 missed tackles, showcasing his ability to make defenders miss. Jenkins’ decision to transfer to East Carolina is seen as an exciting move, as he looks to continue developing his skills and contribute to his new team’s offensive efforts. His commitment strengthens East Carolina’s backfield depth.
