Former Clemson defensive lineman Tre Williams has found a new team after five seasons with the Tigers. The graduate senior is transferring to Michigan.
Williams’ career at Clemson was plagued by injuries, particularly in 2023, when he redshirted due to a shoulder issue. Although he played in five games that year, he recorded just one tackle.
Throughout his five years at Clemson, Williams accumulated 35 tackles in 44 games. Of those, 18 were solo, 10 were tackles for loss (TFL), and 4 were sacks.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Williams was ranked as the No. 94 overall prospect in the country by 247Sports, along with being the No. 11 defensive tackle and the No. 3 recruit from the Washington D.C. area. As a transfer, his rating dropped slightly to 90, but he remains a four-star prospect.
