Louisville Wide Receiver Makes a Move, Enters Transfer Portal!

Louisville wide receiver Cataurus “Blue” Hicks has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, taking advantage of the extended window for grad transfers. After a quiet start to his career, playing just two games in his freshman year and catching an 11-yard pass, Hicks emerged as a key contributor in 2023.

With a stronger role following Caullin Lacy’s injury, he played in 12 games, starting the final four, and recorded 12 receptions for 149 yards. His standout performance came against Pitt, where he caught six passes for 63 yards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ranked as the No. 218 wide receiver in the 2023 class, Hicks is the third Cardinal to enter the portal post-Sun Bowl, following linebacker Jurriente Davis and quarterback Harrison Bailey, bringing the total to 18 players in the current cycle. Meanwhile, Louisville has secured 19 transfer commitments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Louisville wrapped up the 2024 season, their second under head coach Jeff Brohm, with a strong 9-4 overall record, highlighted by a thrilling 35-34 victory over Washington in the Sun Bowl. This marks the Cardinals’ first back-to-back seasons of nine or more wins in a decade.
