Miami Dolphins Shocks The World With Blockbuster Trade Deal

The Miami Dolphins have announced the signing of 12 players to reserve/future contracts. The players are: wide receiver Tarik Black, linebacker William Bradley-King, safety Jordan Colbert, defensive tackle Neil Farrell, tackle Ryan Hayes, offensive lineman Chasen Hines, linebacker Dequan Jackson, cornerbacks Isaiah Johnson and Jason Maitre, tackle Bayron Matos, linebacker Derrick McLendon, and tight end Hayden Rucci.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Tarik Black joined Miami’s practice squad on October 23, 2024. He has previously played for the New York Jets in 2021 and spent time on practice squads with Indianapolis, the Jets, Baltimore, and Miami. Black played college football at Texas and Michigan, finishing with 50 receptions for 747 yards and 3 touchdowns.
  • William Bradley-King was on the Dolphins’ practice squad in 2024. He has played four games in the NFL with Washington, recording 7 tackles and 0.5 sacks. He was drafted in 2021 and played college football at Baylor, with a standout career including 5.5 sacks and 31 tackles in his final season.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Jordan Colbert, signed as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, was also on the Dolphins’ practice squad. He played two seasons at Rhode Island, recording 96 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 6 passes defensed. He previously played at Columbia, earning All-Ivy League honors.
  • Neil Farrell was initially signed to Miami’s practice squad in September 2024, promoted to the active roster in November, and later returned to the practice squad in December. Farrell has 19 career NFL games with 15 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. He was drafted in 2022 and played college football at LSU.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Ryan Hayes joined Miami’s practice squad in November 2024 and had a brief appearance in a Week 15 game. A 2023 seventh-round draft pick by the Dolphins, Hayes was a key player at Michigan and earned All-Big Ten honors.
  • Chasen Hines, a 2022 sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots, spent the past two seasons on Miami’s practice squad after signing in August 2023. Hines was a member of LSU’s 2019 national championship team and appeared in 35 games during his college career.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Dequan Jackson signed with Miami in August 2024 and spent the season on the practice squad. He previously played for Jacksonville’s practice squad after going undrafted in 2023. Jackson played college football at Colorado State, recording over 300 tackles during his college career.
  • Isaiah Johnson, an undrafted free agent with Miami in May 2024, was on the practice squad for the 2024 season. He played his final two seasons at Syracuse, with 115 tackles and 2 interceptions. He started his college career at Dartmouth, earning All-Ivy League honors in 2021.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Jason Maitre, signed in May 2024, spent part of the offseason and training camp with the Dolphins and later returned to the practice squad in December 2024. He played his final season at Wisconsin, making 33 tackles and 1 interception after transferring from Boston College.
  • Bayron Matos, a participant in the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, signed with Miami in May 2024 and spent the season on the practice squad. Matos played football and basketball at South Florida, contributing to both teams before pursuing a football career.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Derrick McLendon, who joined Miami’s practice squad in September 2024, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Carolina in May 2024. He played his final year at Colorado, recording 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks, after transferring from Florida State.
  • Hayden Rucci, an undrafted free agent with the Dolphins in May 2024, spent multiple stints on the practice squad.
