Bulls Star Replies Lakers return talk with a blunt response!
Despite the Chicago Bulls’ struggles in the lower half of the Eastern Conference with a 19-25 record, they recently snapped a five-game losing streak with a 112-99 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Zach LaVine led the charge with 35 points. The Bulls, however, are still searching for consistency, particularly from their bench, which ranks 17th in the NBA with 34.9 points per game.
Lonzo Ball, who has battled back from a two-year recovery after a meniscus transplant, is slowly regaining his form. As a free agent at season’s end, Ball was asked about the possibility of joining the Clippers or returning to the Lakers. His blunt response: “Nah, wherever I’m at, that’s what I focus on. I try not to look ahead into the future, and just take it day by day.”
Ball, the No. 2 overall pick in 2017, was traded to the Pelicans in 2019 as part of the deal for Anthony Davis. In Chicago’s win over the Clippers, Ball contributed five points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. Over the last 10 games, he’s averaging 9.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.0 steals. The Bulls will next face the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
