The Yankees have claimed RHP Allan Winans off waivers from the Braves, as reported by Chase Ford of MiLB Central. Winans, 29, has a 7.20 ERA and 4.99 FIP across eight MLB starts, striking out 20.9% of batters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He relies on his changeup and slider more than velocity (fastball sits 89-91 MPH) to induce ground balls. Most of 2024 was spent in Triple-A, where he posted a solid 3.30 ERA over 114.2 innings.
