Two Florida defensive linemen are set to visit Minnesota for the Golden Gophers’ junior day next week. Freddie Wilson and Kamron Wilson (no relation) will both be at the Gophers’ event on February 1.
Freddie Wilson, a three-star defensive end from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida (about 15 minutes south of Daytona Beach), has been a key target for the Gophers recently. They have made multiple trips to see him, including visits to his high school and an in-home meeting.
Wilson has built a solid relationship with defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere, who he praises for his energy and mentality. In addition to his Minnesota offer, Wilson has also received offers from LSU, Miami, Pittsburgh, and several Group of Five schools.
Meanwhile, Southridge High School standout Kamron Wilson will be traveling from Miami to visit Minnesota. He holds 17 scholarship offers, including from schools like Cal, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Syracuse. DeLattiboudere visited Kamron in Miami recently, following a prior trip to Southridge High School.
