Alabama’s Crimson Tide may be at risk of losing a key 2027 four-star commitment, according to Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney.
Gorney recently reported that 2027 four-star edge rusher Jabarrius Garror is drawing significant interest from Florida State. He also mentioned that Garror has developed a “warm spot” for the Seminoles during his recruitment.
“Alabama may face a tough battle to keep the highly sought-after defensive end from Prichard (AL) Vigor,” Gorney wrote. “Garror visited Florida State recently and was impressed, particularly by his access to the coaching staff, and word is he has a ‘warm spot’ for the Seminoles.”
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Garror is ranked as the No. 8 edge rusher and the No. 2 player in Alabama by 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is also ranked No. 36 overall in the 2027 class.
The standout edge rusher has been committed to Alabama since late July, but there’s still a long way to go in the recruiting process. It’s clear that Alabama’s staff, led by Kalen DeBoer, will need to work hard to keep Garror, one of the top recruits in the 2027 class, in the fold.
Currently, Alabama has two commitments for its 2027 class: Garror and wide receiver Alexander Ward.
