Rams GM ready to lock in Star RB with a contract extension!

Kyren William’s breakout season has the Los Angeles Rams pondering a big move. After a career year in 2024 with 316 carries, 1,299 rushing yards, and 14 touchdowns, the 24-year-old running back is heading into the final year of his rookie contract — and Rams GM Les Snead is ready to talk extension.

Snead noted that after three years in the league, Williams has proven his worth, stating, “He would be someone that after three years you could begin discussing, let’s call it, renegotiating, starting anew.” Williams has made his mark, with 2,582 career rushing yards and 31 total touchdowns since being drafted in 2022, and his performance has placed him in elite company, joining Todd Gurley and Eric Dickerson as the only Rams players under 25 with 27 or more scrimmage touchdowns in a two-year span.

Head coach Sean McVay echoed Snead’s sentiment, praising Williams’ impact and role on the team: “I’m really proud of the body of work Kyren has put together…he’s checking a lot of those boxes.” It looks like an extension for Williams could be in the cards as the Rams look to keep him around for the long haul.
