However, the spotlight on the Ravens has shifted away from on-field drama.

With Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry forming one of the most intimidating rushing duos in the NFL, it’s no surprise that many view DeCosta as one of the league’s top general managers.

But these days, it’s not just his football acumen that’s making waves—his family is going viral.

DeCosta isn’t just a top-tier GM; he’s also a devoted family man, raising three kids with his wife, Lacie DeCosta. Now, Lacie is grabbing attention of her own, finding herself at the center of some intriguing headlines.

Donald Trump sparked a major controversy on Wednesday with a groundbreaking decision in U.S. sports, which he announced via social media. The President declared it illegal for transgender men to compete in women’s sports across the United States.

Lacie DeCosta didn’t hold back, responding to Trump’s ruling with a tweet on X, quoting the President’s announcement. “It’s a great day for women’s sports,” the 48-year-old wrote, adding a heart hands emoji to express her feelings.

However, not everyone shared the same view as the Ravens’ GM’s wife. In the replies, the team’s editorial director, Ryan Mink, voiced his disagreement, posting, “Trans women are women. Trans girls are girls,” making it clear he didn’t support DeCosta’s stance.

DeCosta responded to Mink, asserting, “Ryan Mink, we don’t have to agree. I’ve played sports my entire life. I was an All-American lacrosse player. Many girls don’t see this as a trans issue but a fairness issue. I will always fight for fairness when it comes to girls in sports.”

While their opinions clash on this matter, it’s a debate that many people continue to grapple with. As for the Ravens, 2025 will likely see them aiming to bounce back and make a strong playoff push.
