Giants’ standout receiver offers his opinions on the best QB prospects in the NFL Draft.

Star wide receiver Malik Nabers recently shared his thoughts on two top quarterback prospects who could be available for the New York Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Malik Nabers of the Giants praises Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward.

Giants Pro Bowler Malik Nabers had high praise for both Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, as reported by Dan Salomone of Giants.com.

Speaking on Airing It Out with Amber Theoharis and Patrick Peterson, Nabers highlighted Ward’s impressive skill set:

“He’s comfortable in the pocket. He throws into tight spots where most wouldn’t, but his arm talent is unbelievable. He’s mobile, and I’ve seen him lead comebacks in games that seemed over. He’s efficient and a true leader who elevates those around him.

On Sanders, Nabers expressed admiration for his confidence and playmaking ability:

“I’ve been following him for a while—he was in my 2021 recruiting class. His arm talent is off the charts, and he trusts his receivers to make plays. He’s fearless, determined to win, and from what I’ve heard, a strong leader in the locker room.

Ward & Sanders could both lead the Giants’ new era

The raw talent of both Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders is undeniable. Ward led the nation in 2024 with 39 passing touchdowns, throwing for 4,313 yards and showcasing his gunslinger mentality with the ability to create plays outside the pocket.

Meanwhile, Sanders set an FBS record for efficiency, completing an astounding 74 percent of his passes last season, bringing his career average to an all-time best 71.8 percent. He also racked up 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns through the air.

What makes Malik Nabers’ assessment particularly noteworthy is his emphasis on their intangibles. The Giants need a quarterback who exudes leadership, stays poised in the pocket, and thrives when plays break down. Both Ward and Sanders fit that mold and bring no shortage of confidence.

Holding the No. 3 pick in the upcoming draft, New York is in prime position to land one of these promising signal-callers, potentially securing their quarterback of the future.
