Ethan Feaster is one step closer to choosing his college destination.
The five-star wide receiver from Texas made the decision to reclassify from the 2027 class to the 2026 cycle on Friday, as he shared with Rivals. Feaster is now ranked as the No. 15 overall recruit in the Rivals250 and the No. 3 wide receiver in the country.
The standout from DeSoto (Texas) High School is moving quickly towards his highly anticipated college commitment and plans to begin official visits this summer. He expects to make a decision before his senior season kicks off in August.
“I’ve accomplished so much in high school,” Feaster explained to Rivals. “My parents and I felt it was time to take the next step. I’m ready. This is a big move for me, and as long as I’m prepared, I’ll be fine.”
Along with moving up to the 2026 class, Feaster has narrowed his list of offers to 12 schools: LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami, USC, and SMU.
Feaster is strongly considering schools like Texas, Texas A&M, USC, and LSU, with official visits already scheduled for USC (June 6-8) and LSU (June 20-22). Both Texas and Texas A&M are also set to host him this summer.
Before finalizing his reclassification, Feaster had discussions with Lincoln Riley and Dennis Simmons, and the five-star wide receiver is a top priority for the Trojans in the 2026 class.
“After talking to Coach Simmons and Coach Riley, they were excited about me,” Feaster shared.
This sentiment is echoed by other coaches vying for the talented wide receiver.
“Coach (Cortez) Hankton has been watching me since eighth grade. He would take me in any class,” Feaster said of LSU. “He knows I’m ready to work, and he wants to help me mature—on the field and as a man, someone who can take care of his wife and kids.”
Both Texas and Texas A&M are determined to keep Feaster in-state.
Feaster has a strong bond with Mike Elko, and he compares his connection with Holmon Wiggins to the one he shares with his father.
“I love Coach Elko,” said Feaster, who is now ranked No. 15 in the Rivals250. “He’s straight up, and I like that. That’s the type of coaching I need. At DeSoto, I’ve been around blunt people. My parents are blunt, so I need to be around that kind of environment. It would be a great fit for me.”
Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson have also been heavily involved in Feaster’s recruitment over the years.
“They were excited and ready to see me grow,” Feaster said. “I love Sark. He’s great with big receivers. At Alabama, he developed top talent, and he can really help me grow as a receiver. Coach Jackson’s been in the league and knows where I’m trying to get to.”
