Four-star 2026 cornerback Justin Hopkins recently placed Minnesota in his top four schools. Three recruiting analysts have forecasted that he will choose the Gophers when he makes his final decision on Monday.
On3’s USC insider Scott Schrader, along with Rivals analysts Sam Spiegelman and Dylan Callaghan-Croley, all expect Hopkins to commit to Minnesota. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) currently gives the Gophers a 97.9% chance of securing his commitment.

Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 170 pounds, Hopkins is ranked 299th overall in the latest 247Sports Composite, earning him a four-star rating. He is the 21st-ranked cornerback and the 9th-ranked player in Tennessee according to the most recent update.
Hopkins visited the University of Minnesota on November 23 for an unofficial trip during the Gophers’ game against Penn State. Additionally, head coach P.J. Fleck and cornerback coach Nick Monroe visited Hopkins at his high school in January following a basketball game, marking Monroe’s second visit to see him.
Hopkins has confirmed that he will announce his final decision on February 17 at 5 p.m. CT, choosing between Minnesota, USC, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech.
