Alabama Crimson Tide Set to Host Explosive 4-Star 2026 Linebacker in Monumental Recruitment Coup
Standing at 6’3″ and 225 pounds, Johnson is ranked No. 117 nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings, placing him as the No. 9 linebacker and the No. 4 overall player in Ohio. A dynamic athlete, he has the versatility to play both inside and outside linebacker at the next level, drawing comparisons to Jihaad Campbell. Defensive coordinator Kane Wommack will likely be eager to utilize his skill set.
Johnson previously visited Alabama for Junior Day and now has an official visit scheduled. Most recruiting analysts see Alabama and Ohio State as the frontrunners for his commitment, though Oklahoma and USC are also in the mix, leaving room for other programs to make a push.
Currently, Alabama has just one commitment in the 2026 class—four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson from Gadsden, AL. However, the Crimson Tide is trending with several key targets and made a strong impression on multiple recruits during Junior Day.

With head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff proving their recruiting prowess last cycle, it’s only a matter of time before Alabama starts landing commitments. The Tide recently secured official visits from two five-star prospects, wide receiver Tristen Keys and offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, signaling momentum in their 2026 recruiting efforts.
