Elite 2026 Prospects Plan Trips to Arizona State

Kenny Dillingham is building a strong roster with top-tier high school recruits.

The Arizona State football program hasn’t signed more than two four-star recruits in a single class since 2021.

However, after a successful 11-3 season and a No. 7 national ranking, head coach Kenny Dillingham and his team are beginning to attract top-tier high school talent. The Sun Devils have already secured two four-star commitments for the 2026 class, matching their typical number of blue-chip prospects since 2022, with more time left in the recruiting process.

Israel Briggs, Redwood, Tight End

The highest-ranked commits so far are tight end Israel Briggs and quarterback Jake Fette, who will get an up-close look at ASU this spring. Briggs and Fette are set to take their official visits to Arizona State on April 25.

Briggs, who committed to ASU on National Signing Day, brings another standout tight end to the 2026 class. He is the sixth commit for Dillingham, joining three-star tight end Hayden Vercher from Thousand Oaks High School in Southern California, who pledged to ASU on February 2.

Briggs, from Visalia, California, had offers from top schools like Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, and Miami, among others. He is ranked as a top-10 tight end in his class by major recruiting outlets. After playing his first three seasons at Mt. Whitney High School, he transferred to Redwood High School in late 2024. At 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, Briggs was versatile at Mt. Whitney, playing positions like running back and quarterback.

Fette, who announced his commitment to ASU in September, is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the country and ranks as the No. 7 QB in the 2026 class by 247Sports.

Currently, Arizona State’s 2026 class is ranked second in the Big 12 and 16th nationally.
