- ATH Joey Caudill, Lexington (OH)
Likely to play tight end at the college level, Caudill is a big, athletic, and physical player with a strong football IQ. Some compare him to Penn State’s Tyler Warren. He’s aiming to help Michigan State build a strong 2026 class and has a high ceiling. - QB Kayd Coffman, East Kentwood (MI)
Many view Coffman as a potential steal for the Spartans’ 2026 class. He’s been compared to Kirk Cousins, but with a stronger arm and better athleticism. His high level of competition and leadership qualities make him an exciting prospect. He’s vocal about helping in-state recruiting efforts.
- TE Eddie Whiting, Jefferson (SD)
Whiting, a true four-star recruit, has seen a significant rise in his stock. The Spartans were the first to offer him, and that early relationship paid off. Whiting chose Michigan State over top Power Five programs. He’s a versatile tight end known for his playmaking ability and physicality. - OT Eli Bickel, North Branch (MI)
Bickel is a large, athletic offensive tackle with raw talent. Though still developing, his potential is high given his physical traits. Offensive line coach Jim Michalczik has a history of identifying underrated prospects with similar ceilings, like Justin Bell from the 2025 class.

- S Khalil Terry, Tustin (CA)
Though Terry isn’t yet rated by 247Sports, Rivals has already given him a four-star rating. Early commitments come with risk, but Terry is being pursued by elite schools like Penn State, North Carolina, and Tennessee. If Michigan State can retain him, it would be a major win for the coaching staff.
Notes:
Another One!
Michigan State continues to excel in the 2025 recruiting cycle, with the recent addition of offensive tackle Eli Bickel as the fourth commit of the year. Just a year ago, the Spartans didn’t secure their first commitment until April, when quarterback Leo Hannan made his announcement.
The Smith regime is showing strong progress in Year 2, and good things appear to be in store for the program. Patience is paying off as they continue to build momentum.
