Five-Star OT Commits to Michigan on Official Visit!
The 2026 recruiting race is heating up, with top prospects like five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo narrowing down their options and scheduling official visits. Michigan football is looking to build on the momentum from their strong 2025 cycle, and Ojo’s official visit presents a prime opportunity to continue that progress.

Ojo, ranked as the #28 player in the 2026 class and the #5 offensive tackle by On3 (and a four-star recruit by 247Sports), currently plays for Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas. The 6-foot-6, 272-pound Ojo is considered young for his class, with a July birthdate. His scouting report highlights his lean, athletic frame and impressive functional athleticism. Ojo showcased his strength and physicality at the 2025 Navy Army All-American Bowl, where he stood out as one of the youngest competitors despite his noticeable mean streak.
Recently, Ojo has seen a rise in the rankings, making him one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the 2026 class. His report notes improvements in hand placement and technique from his sophomore to junior year, as well as better ability to handle point-of-attack strength. Though still developing consistency in his power and sometimes playing upright, Ojo’s ability to finish plays with authority is a strength.
His frame and athleticism—boosted by his discus experience—indicate high potential for continued development. With further growth, Ojo has the tools to become a multi-year high-major tackle with pro potential.
For Michigan, landing a commitment from Ojo would be a major win, further strengthening their recruitment efforts for the 2026 class.
