Notre Dame football has been actively extending scholarship offers to prospects for the 2026 recruiting class in recent days, and that trend continued on Tuesday night.
Jaziel Hart, a 5-10, 170-pound cornerback from North Cross School in Roanoke, Virginia, is the newest player to receive the prestigious Notre Dame offer.

This is a recruitment where Notre Dame isn’t exactly at the forefront, as Hart has already received over 20 scholarship offers, including from four College Football Playoff teams from last season, as well as Michigan. However, it’s one where Notre Dame is ahead of the curve compared to traditional recruiting services, as 247Sports and ESPN have yet to assign a rating to Hart.
The cornerback does hold a three-star ranking from Rivals.
Out of Notre Dame’s seven current commitments for the 2026 class, one is a cornerback: Chaston Smith from Chattanooga, Tenn.
