Eagles Appoint Ex-Bowling Green Head Coach, As QB Coach

The Philadelphia Eagles understood the need to find a top-tier replacement not only for Kellen Moore this offseason but also for his close colleague and trusted partner, Doug Nussmeier. Nussmeier had played a key role in helping Jalen Hurts achieve one of his lowest turnover rates of the season and reach Super Bowl LIX.

With a new quarterbacks coach now in place, the Eagles are confident that his experience in the college ranks will significantly benefit the team. Former Bowling Green head coach Scot Loeffler has been appointed as the new quarterbacks coach. Loeffler brings a wealth of experience, having played alongside Tom Brady in college and coached Tim Tebow as well. According to head coach Nick Sirianni, the hire was made with one goal in mind: ensuring the team’s success in crucial areas, including in Brooklyn. “I’m always looking for the right person because we’ve seen that teamwork, connection, and selflessness were key factors in our success,” Sirianni explained.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A position coach’s role is to help players improve fundamentally, and that’s our main priority.” He continued, “Additionally, we want a coach who can bring fresh ideas, new schemes, and innovative thinking to help develop our offense and keep it evolving.” Loeffler’s extensive background with various quarterbacks throughout his career should bode well for the Eagles, and they believe he could be the ideal coach to help Hurts continue his growth.
