Knicks’ Tom Thibodeau Drops Epic Scoop on Star Player’s Future

The New York Knicks are gearing up for a back-to-back showdown, kicking things off against a battered San Antonio Spurs squad.

The Spurs are reeling from a brutal injury toll, with Victor Wembanyama sidelined for the season due to blood clots and De’Aaron Fox out with a busted pinky finger.

On the Knicks’ side, the injury bug has nibbled too—Jalen Brunson’s nursing a sprained ankle, Ariel Hukporti’s got a sore toe, and their veteran big man might be a no-go as well.

Mitchell Robinson, who’s been MIA most of the season rehabbing from offseason ankle surgery, is a game-time question mark for the Spurs matchup.

The Knicks’ back-to-back grind probably explains why Robinson’s status is up in the air—he’s not likely to suit up for both games in two nights.

At 26, Robinson’s logged just eight games since making his comeback from injury on Feb. 28. The lone game he skipped in that stretch was Mar. 7 against the Clippers, right after the Knicks faced the Lakers the previous night.

If he rests tonight against the Spurs, bet on him taking the court tomorrow against the Charlotte Hornets. But if he balls out in San Antonio, don’t count on seeing him in action the next day.
