Marden had the opportunity to tour the facilities, meet with the coaching staff, and get a feel for the Spartans’ program. He was particularly impressed with the energy and vision of head coach Jonathan Smith and defensive coordinator Joe Rossi. “The coaching staff was great, and I really liked the atmosphere,” Marden shared. “They have a clear plan for the program, and it was exciting to see how I could fit into their defense.”

Beyond football, Marden appreciated the family-oriented culture at Michigan State. He spent time with current players, who gave him insight into life as a Spartan. “The players really love it here, and that stood out to me,” he added.

With several visits lined up this offseason, Marden remains open in his recruitment. However, Michigan State has certainly made a strong impression. As he continues to evaluate his options, the Spartans are positioning themselves as a serious contender for the talented linebacker’s commitment.

Marden is expected to make his college decision later in the process, but his visit to East Lansing could play a key role when the time comes to choose his future home.
