Minnesota Gophers Swoops in For Georgia`s Athletic Ace

The University of Minnesota Gophers football team has offered a scholarship to Tyler Chukuyem, a 2026 offensive lineman from Georgia, as announced by Chukuyem on social media last Friday. Chukuyem had previously visited the university and watched the Gophers play against Penn State in the fall.

Chukuyem, a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle, attends South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia. Although he has not yet been rated by recruiting services like 247Sports or Rivals, he has attracted considerable attention from Division I programs. According to 247Sports, the Gophers’ offer marks Chukuyem’s first from a Big Ten school.
