Standing at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Blassingame had an impressive junior season at Tolleson Union, competing at the highest level of Arizona high school football. He recorded 53 catches for 690 yards and five touchdowns. He has received over 20 offers from notable programs, including Texas A&M, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. According to the latest 247Sports Composite, he ranks as the 894th-best player in the nation, the 142nd-best wide receiver, and the No. 12 player in Arizona.

Blassingame is the fifth recruit to commit to Minnesota’s 2026 class and the first wide receiver. His commitment is another significant addition for head coach P.J. Fleck and his staff as they continue to build their recruiting class.

Minnesota has been highly involved in Blassingame’s recruitment since offering him on May 14 of last year. He visited the Gophers for a junior day on February 1 and is set for an official visit on May 30 for their Summer Splash event.

While questions remain about his immediate impact due to his size, Blassingame has a lot of potential for the future. Minnesota’s strong track record of developing wide receivers makes him an exciting prospect with great long-term potential.
