Over the weekend in Las Vegas, numerous elite recruits convened to display their talents at the 2025 Polynesian Bowl National Combine and Showcase. Among them was Viliami Moala, a defensive lineman committed to the Oregon Ducks, who remains undecided about his future.
Per 247 Sports, despite relocating from Bingham, Utah, to Eugene following his commitment, Moala has scheduled official visits with the Utah Utes on June 6 and the Arizona Wildcats on June 13. He also told 247 Sports that he’s considering a trip to Oklahoma, though a specific date has yet to be confirmed.

Moala has also locked in an official visit with the Oregon Ducks on June 20.
At the Polynesian Bowl National Combine and Showcase, Moala shone brightly, earning a spot as a 2026 Polynesian Bowl All-Star and the Defensive Tackle Top Performer award. During the showcase’s interview segment, he was photographed in Ducks gear, possibly hinting that Oregon remains a top contender for his college choice.
Originally committed to the USC Trojans, Moala switched his allegiance to Oregon after the Ducks defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in October of the 2024 regular season.
The four-star recruit had first pledged to USC in September 2024, choosing the Trojans—his self-proclaimed “dream school”—over Utah, BYU, and Arizona State. Before flipping to Oregon, he also visited Ohio State.
Standing at 6’3” and weighing 305 pounds, Moala brings versatility with experience on both sides of the line. Now ranked as the No. 3 player in Oregon after his move, he holds 16 offers, including interest from UCLA, Miami, and Iowa State, among others.
Currently at Willamette High School, Moala teams up with fellow Oregon recruit Tony Cumberland, a defensive lineman who also transferred from out of state to play in Oregon.
“Moala is a standout two-way athlete, drawing equal attention as a potential nose guard and center/offensive guard at the college level,” noted Greg Biggins, National Recruiting Analyst for 247 Sports. “On the offensive line, he’s a powerhouse, physically imposing and a relentless run blocker. He brings an aggressive edge with just the right dose of toughness you want in the trenches. He’s also effective in pass protection, agile on his feet, with strong lateral movement and a powerful punch that can disrupt opposing tackles. On defense, he excels as a straight-ahead bull rusher, showcasing quick hands and an explosive first step.”
Oregon currently ranks No. 6 nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, with Moala as one of three four-star prospects committed to the Ducks. Joining him among the ranked linemen in the class are four-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene and Tony Cumberland. At the time of Moala’s commitment, his pledge briefly propelled Oregon to the top spot in the 2026 rankings.
