Standout Recruit Signs with Nebraska Cornhuskers After Tour

Tory Pittman III, a four-star safety from Omaha Central in the Class of 2027, returned to Lincoln for an unofficial visit on Thursday. Ranked among the top-100 prospects and the sixth-best safety in his recruiting cycle, Pittman has made five unofficial trips to Nebraska over the past few years. His first visit occurred in March 2023, with his most recent prior stop on October 5.

On the field, Pittman showcased his skills this season with 54 solo tackles. He also contributed offensively, hauling in 26 catches for 458 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 17.6 yards per reception, according to Maxpreps.com stats.

As of now, Nebraska’s 2027 football recruiting class has yet to secure any commitments. Landing Pittman would provide a cornerstone for the class and reinforce the program’s tradition of successfully recruiting talent from within the state.
