“I’m pumped to hit the turf at Huntington Bank Stadium with my future squad, rocking that ‘M’ on my chest. I’m all in—ready to pour everything into making this team shine,” Gavin Meier posted on social media.

Meier checked out the University of Minnesota campus last fall during a gameday visit on October 26, when the Gophers faced off against Maryland. He got his official offer from Minnesota on January 31 and has racked up 12 Division I offers in total.

He’s got official visits lined up with Indiana (May 2), Wisconsin (May 29), and Auburn (June 7) before heading to see the Gophers on June 13. Meier hasn’t confirmed whether he’ll still take those other visits now that he’s verbally committed to Minnesota.

Per 247Sports, he’s the 624th-ranked recruit nationwide and the top dog in Wisconsin. After landing Nathan Roy in the 2024 class, Coach Fleck and his crew are showing they can cross state lines and out-recruit their rivals, the Badgers. This commitment marks a major score for Minnesota as they stack up a strong recruiting class.
