Bucks Star Gives Candid Opinion on Knicks Following Defeat!

The New York Knicks earned a solid 116-107 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, March 28.

After the game, Milwaukee’s star forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo, acknowledged that Tom Thibodeau’s team is stronger than the one led by Doc Rivers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo praised the New York Knicks on March 28.

“They’re a better team than us. It’s that simple,” Antetokounmpo stated. “When you face a team that’s ranked second or third in the East and they’ve already beaten you twice, you have to bring intense energy. You need to be the first to make a move, put your body on the line, and show you want it more, playing with more aggression. I don’t think we did that for all 48 minutes tonight.”

The Knicks, currently sitting third in the Eastern Conference, have clearly been built to contend for a championship. Completing a season sweep of the Bucks serves as validation for New York’s roster and coaching staff. However, tougher challenges lie ahead, especially if the Knicks aim to reach the Eastern Conference Finals or the NBA Finals.

Despite the loss, Giannis finished the game with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Thibodeau’s strategy to contain the Bucks’ supporting players proved successful.

Both Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby delivered impressive performances for the Knicks in their victory over the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo shed light on how the two stars were able to exploit Milwaukee’s defense.

“In the first half, Bridges was able to read the pick-and-roll,” Giannis explained. “He knew I was staying with Towns and didn’t want to switch, so he took advantage of that. In the second half, Anunoby, a great player, got to his spots, hit some threes, and pushed the pace in transition. That’s what makes them a good team; when one guy doesn’t have it, they have others who can step up.”

Bridges finished with 26 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds, while Anunoby posted 31 points, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds. Both players found their rhythm at different stages of the game, preventing Milwaukee from focusing on any one individual. This allowed the Knicks to capitalize, both in the halfcourt and on the fast break.
