4-star Top Prospect Commits to Michigan State Football

Michigan State football recently secured their second commitment for the 2026 recruiting class, following Ohio tight end Joey Caudill’s decision to join the Spartans. This latest commitment could be the most significant of the cycle.

Kayd Coffman, a quarterback from Grand Rapids (MI), has chosen to commit to Michigan State, marking the Spartans’ quarterback addition for the class. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 185 pounds, Coffman plays for East Kentwood High School and is rated as a 4-star prospect by On3 Sports. He has received additional offers from schools like Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa State, Ole Miss, and Syracuse, with Iowa also showing interest.

Coffman’s commitment is a major boost to Michigan State’s recruiting efforts and could play a key role in attracting other prospects to the class.
