Michigan State is preparing to host important visits this spring, with one of the top prospects being Salesi Moa. The 2026 recruiting class for the Spartans currently has four commits, including a quarterback, an offensive lineman, and two tight ends. Spring official visits are an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships and spend quality time with recruits.
Moa, a four-star athlete from Fremont High School in Utah, will kick off Michigan State’s official visits on April 2nd. Known for its interest in versatile athletes who can excel in multiple roles, Michigan State is particularly attracted to multi-sport, multi-position players, as they bring a unique toughness and competitiveness that are hard to find.

Greg Biggins, a 247Sports scout, described Moa as an exceptionally talented all-around football player, capable of playing safety or receiver in college. He is considered the best athlete in his family, which includes two older brothers playing at BYU, and his father, Ben, who played at Utah, had a stint with the Miami Dolphins, and was also an MMA fighter. Moa is a polished route runner with explosiveness off the line, great body control, and the ability to win jump balls despite being only 6-0. His speed is also evident, having clocked a 11.22-second 100m time earlier this spring, showcasing his ability to break away from defenses.
While Moa’s potential at receiver is high, his upside may be greatest at safety, where he could excel both in the secondary and in run support. His football IQ, ball awareness, and toughness make him a standout defensive prospect. Biggins projects Moa as a top national recruit with the ability to play for any school in the country.
Given Moa’s family background in sports and his access to unparalleled mentorship, he has a significant edge over many prospects. This makes him an even more attractive target for Michigan State. Coach Jonathan Smith and his staff will have the opportunity to make a strong impression as Moa continues his official visit journey.
