Xavier Jackson, a cornerback from New Jersey, is the most recent 2026 recruit to schedule an official visit with the Minnesota Gophers, set for June 13-15. His visit coincides with the second weekend of the team’s yearly ‘Summer Splash’ recruiting event, confirmed on Wednesday.
Xavier Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, has attracted attention from several top programs, including Pittsburgh, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Last season, he played alongside Naiim Parrish, now a true freshman cornerback for the Gophers. Jackson has an official visit lined up with Pittsburgh a week after his Minnesota visit on June 13-15, but the Gophers were the first to extend an offer to him on January 16. Since then, he’s received 13 additional offers.
Jackson is now part of an impressive group of 2026 defensive backs planning official visits to Minnesota. Rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, he ranks as the 16th-best player in New Jersey.
