Notre Dame continues to build momentum following its spring game, and the commitments are rolling in. On Monday, four-star wide receiver Bubba Frazier announced his commitment to the Fighting Irish and their 2026 recruiting class.
The 5’10”, 165-pound standout from Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia, picked Notre Dame over several notable programs, including Wisconsin, Auburn, Georgia, and Arkansas.
Frazier becomes the 11th commit in Notre Dame’s 2026 class and marks the first pledge from the state of Georgia. So far, the class includes recruits from seven different states and currently holds the No. 3 spot nationally in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
Explosive plays can swing a game and Frazier is an explosive athlete. Though he is undersized at just under 5-10 and 177 pounds, he has the kind of rare speed combined with solid ball skills that can make him a big play threat whenever he touches the football.
He could play the slot or the field at Notre Dame, but should be someone who can be used in a variety of ways on gadget plays as well as potentially be utilized in the return game. He’ll need to develop his total game as a receiver and that may take some time, but even before that happens, he could end up contributing early on in certain packages.
Exciting offensive weapon who fits a slot role in the long term, but could also move around for backfield touches in varying personnel packages. Also could provide return game touches. Strong production with 2,400-plus scrimmage yards on 213 total touches during sophomore-junior seasons. Added limited defensive and special teams snaps. Couples explosive linear acceleration with above average speed-changing nuance. Capable of taking the top off the deep third, but also a fierce run-after-catch threat in the screen/jet/fly game. Junior tape and Under Armour Atlanta context reveal some short-to-intermediate know-how as well. Still developing consistent route snap, but understands the need for creating late space at the catch point. Excellent verified speed markers in track and combine settings. A bit tight through the hips and core at times. Frame-limited, but fits the mold of a big-play offensive athlete who naturally suits the slot. Projects to the P4 level as a potential multi-year impact player who could particularly excel in the right system.
Despite what his ranking might suggest, Notre Dame’s coaching staff is extremely high on Frazier’s potential, especially his speed and athleticism. He’s considered a hidden gem in this cycle — and I’m fully on board with their evaluation. It’s exciting to think about what Frazier could accomplish in South Bend.
