Notre Dame Lands Another Michigan Star

Notre Dame football is accelerating its 2026 recruiting efforts, securing its third commitment in eight days with offensive tackle Gregory Patrick from Portage Northern in Portage, Michigan. Announced on Sunday, Patrick, a four-star prospect per 247Sports composite rankings, is the second-highest-rated player from Michigan in his class. Standing at 6-4.5 and weighing 280 pounds, he chose Notre Dame over offers from elite programs like Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Patrick emphasized the importance of Notre Dame’s people and culture in his decision, telling Inside ND Sports, “It really came down to the people and the culture. Obviously, they compete at the highest level and produce great offensive linemen.”

Notre Dame fans celebrated the commitment, and national recruiting analysts shared their insights on social media, highlighting the significance of Patrick’s choice for the Fighting Irish.
