Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has started turning heads on the West Coast, recently meeting with both the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks.
Milroe’s game has been a mixed bag—his inconsistency raises eyebrows, but his dynamic playmaking ability keeps scouts intrigued. There’s clear upside, especially if he ends up with a creative offensive mind like Rams head coach Sean McVay.
In an interview with DJ Siddiqi of Cardplayer.com, Milroe opened up about his visit with the Rams.
“I just wrapped up a meeting with the Rams,” Milroe said. “It went really well. Regardless of the team, it’s always valuable to dive into the X’s and O’s with them and let them see how I approach the game. Every time I meet with a team, they walk away impressed.”

If Los Angeles were to draft Milroe, his athleticism and versatility might earn him early playing time in special packages. Should he embrace a role similar to Taysom Hill, he could become a valuable red zone weapon for a team looking to improve its scoring efficiency.
“Watching film is one thing,” Milroe explained. “But meeting me face-to-face lets teams see the full picture—my mindset, how I prepare, the intelligence I bring to the table. I leave every meeting feeling like I made an impact.”
Confidence isn’t something Milroe lacks—perhaps a necessary trait after reportedly enduring a rocky relationship with a former offensive coordinator. The question NFL teams have to answer is: Can his confidence be channeled in a coachable way?
Milroe also mentioned reconnecting with former Alabama teammate Bryce Young during their training stints in California.
“I got to see Bryce while we were both out in California training,” Milroe said. “Even if we’re not in the same place, we always stay in touch. This process brings a lot of people together.”
With the Rams already fielding talent from SEC powerhouses like LSU, Georgia, and Florida State, could Milroe be the next southern standout to join the team? Given the recent Super Bowl impact of SEC alumni, it’s certainly worth considering.
