The NCAA transfer portal continues to make waves across college football, and Michigan State is the latest program to feel the effects. Defensive end James Schott, a native of Greenwood, Indiana, has decided to leave the Spartans after spending three seasons with the team.

Schott, who stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 245 pounds, plays as an edge rusher and was expected to see more significant playing time in the upcoming 2025 season. Throughout his time in East Lansing, he played in 19 games and registered five total tackles.
