BREAKING: Miami Heat finally Part Ways With key star

Orlando Robinson’s time with the Miami Heat has come to an end. On Sunday afternoon, the team decided to waive him. Over the past two seasons, Robinson was part of the Heat’s developmental program, alternating between playing in Miami and with their G League affiliate in Sioux Falls. In the previous season, he played 36 games, starting in seven of them, and averaged 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

The Heat’s official statement reads:

“The Miami HEAT announced today that they have re-signed Bam Adebayo to a contract extension. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.”

Adebayo, a three-time NBA All-Star and five-time All-Defensive Team selection, played in 71 games last season, all as a starter. He averaged 19.3 points, a team-high 10.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.14 steals, and 34.0 minutes per game, while shooting 52.1 percent from the field.

THOMAS BRYANT BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON

On Saturday, the Miami Heat reached an agreement with reserve center Thomas Bryant. Bryant will return on a one-year NBA veteran’s minimum salary contract. Initially, he had signed a two-year deal last summer, which included a player option for this season. However, Bryant opted out of that agreement on Sunday.

By re-signing under the new terms, Bryant will save the team approximately $800,000 against the salary cap, considering the luxury tax implications. The new agreement reduces his salary cap figure from $2.8 million.
