possible decision made by Ac Milan ahead of eight players with deals expiring by 2025

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan is facing crucial decisions regarding several players that need to be carefully considered for their future transfer plans. Despite a busy summer transfer window that brought significant changes to the midfield, Milan anticipates further transformations in the next 18 months.

Among the imminent contract expirations, players such as Antonio Mirante, Mattia Caldara, Simon Kjaer, Luka Jovic, and Olivier Giroud are set to be out of contract at the end of the current season. While there’s an option to extend Jovic’s contract for another year, it seems unlikely due to his lack of goal-scoring performance.

Looking ahead to the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, contracts for Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi, and Rade Krunic will expire. These three players currently play substantial roles under Stefano Pioli.

Mirante, Caldara, and Jovic are expected to depart without direct replacements, whereas the potential exits of Kjaer and Giroud would necessitate finding suitable replacements. Milan is actively negotiating a new contract for Giroud.

If Calabria and Florenzi were to leave, the team would require one or two new right-backs, while Krunic is strongly linked to a potential move to Fenerbahce. The upcoming decisions will significantly shape Milan’s squad in the coming seasons.
